What is Elefriends?
Elefriends is a supportive online community where you can be yourself. We all know what it’s like to struggle sometimes, but now there’s a safe place to listen, share and be heard.
- Open to anyone (18 years+) who struggles with their mental health
- Available on web and mobile app (iOS and android)
- Elefriends can share posts and images on the main wall, give support using interactive buttons like ‘I hear you’/ ‘thinking of you’ and private message each other.

For service users who are waiting for services or need support out of office hours. Elefriends is online and available 24/7, every day of the year.
Refer to Elefriends who are waiting for therapy, finishing a course of one to one support or for those who are very isolated or anxious about face to face support.

Is it safe
It’s moderated from 10am-12am (by Mind staff and external moderators) so is a safe online space with a zero tolerance to bullying and discrimination
There are communally agreed ‘house-rules’ for responding to tough topics like suicidal thoughts & clear escalation processes for members experiencing crisis.

Elefriends is managed by Mind, the mental health charity.
