Supporting local charities and Bath Abbey’s Footprint Project

Inspired by the Great British Bake Off but don’t have the time to bake?
Or do your flapjacks fall flat and your scones sink?
Just follow your nose to Bath Abbey on Saturday 1st October for some tasty,
home-baked, savoury and sweet treats! Cakes and bakes of all shapes and sizes will be on sale to raise funds for local charities and the Abbey’s Footprint project.

• Grand Opening at 11am
by the Right Worshipful The Mayor of Bath, Councillor Paul Crossley

• Showstopper Competition for Adults and Children
Bring your creations to the Abbey before 11am for judging at 1pm Fantastic prizes! Adults’ and Children’s categories.

Cupcake Decorating

• Children’s Bread and Butter Making
Bake your own loaf then spread it with your own butter (11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm)

• Tea, coffee & soft drinks available

Participating charities include:
The Carers’ Centre, The Bubble @ St John’s, The Genesis Trust, Mentoring Plus,
Bath Child Contact Centre, Bath Ethnic Minorities Senior Citizens’ Association,
Focus Counselling, AgeUK B&NES, Bath Rugby Foundation, Dorothy House,
Bath MIND, Off the Record, Vegan Bakesale Bath, Bath Uni Baking Appreciation Society

Donations of baked goods for Abbey staff and volunteers to sell would also be most welcome – just bring them along at 10am on the day.
